How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Over 2 and 1/2 years
What does your username mean?
I always associated foxes to be one of my spirt animals whether it was to do with their nature or because my red hair matched their fur 
Also when I first started photography my high school teacher encouraged me to start my own business taking portraits, I referred to my business as "Sly Eye Studios"- Sly referring to foxes, Sly-Eye referring to my self-interpretation of "good eye for detail". In that, "fox" has been a symbol to me to follow my dreams of anything, pursuing photography to be one of them. The freckle part is just another way to describe me, I have freckles all over my body and the two words sounded great together.

What was your first deviation?
I've cleaned out my gallery so many times. But I do remember what it was. I went out and explored my meadow in the winter when I first joined dA and took a bunch of pictures of the snowy scenery. My first picture I believe was of my tree house my dad built by hand, covered in snow. That massive tree came down two summers ago after a tornado hit my town 
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Fashion portraits, of course!
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Digital art / graphic design

I think it was because I just got done taking my first shoot that I mentioned along with my first submission. I was going for the winter vibe inspiration and I thought and still do think this girl's blue hair is pretty rad.
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Conceptual, portraiture and photos of beautiful cats

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
All my watchers and friends have! Knowing I have your support impacts me not to give up! Even if I get one favorite on a submission it means absolutely everything to me and I am satisfied because I was able to create something that someone found visually pleasing 
What are your preferred tools to create art?
Sketch book, camera, 50mm 1.4 & photoshop!
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Anywhere, I try to find inspiration in everything, but anywhere where my music is playing is where most of my ideas come from
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I have so many great memories on this site. Everyone is so support and I just love seeing new work everyday from people who share the same passion to create. Memories of running support-Beginners with Sarah will always be my favorite, I love putting together contests with her and writing articles about photography with her in hope to help new or old photographers in the community.
I haven't been that active lately due to starting college, I decided to take classes in the summer too- so I've been basically going and still going for a year straight

I am Ashraful Arefin, 28 years old photographer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
When did you start taking pictures? What got you into photography?
I started taking photos back in 2011, I was an art student back then and I bought my

New Year's Goals
For my first journal of 2015 I thought it would be good to start off a new year with goals.
Since becoming serious about photography I have always made sure I have goals in mind, whether it was in high school to get at least a 90% on every photo project or a goal to take 5 different people’s portraits in a year.
Last year I wrote a list of goals I wanted to see myself accomplish, and I think goal are fun things to look back on, see what you were thinking exactly a year ago and how much you have changed, what worked, what did not work and what happened that you were not expecting.
So for 2014 these were my goals:

Winter Interpretation Contest - Support-beginners

This winter support-Beginners (https://www.deviantart.com/support-beginners) is throwing another seasonal contest! Starts: December 22nd
Ends: January 25th
Theme: We want to see your interpretation of the word "winter". It could range for basically anything such as a conceptual scene, to Holiday decorations or maybe your winter is on a beach, whatever you can photograph that describes your thoughts on the word "winter"
